4. Customers using AOL.

This is a common problem experienced by AOL users.

504 Timeout Error

  • An explanation of what is happening...
    • When you "request" a page/website, your browser sends the request to an AOL Proxy Server.
    • The AOL Proxy Server in turn, finds the page/website you requested and directs you to that page/website.
    • The AOL Proxy Server has a set time limit that it will wait for the response from the page/website.
    • If our website is experiencing high volume and is slow in responding, the AOL Proxy server will timeout and give you the 504 error page.
  • Solution to the problem
