Description
These are ALL Chrome Coil Over Shocks. Designed to fit all ball-joint front axle beams used in 1966 and later Standard Beetle and Karmann Ghia (Will not fit Super Beetle models). These adjustable Coil-Over shocks will raise your vehicle. Coil O.D. is 2-1/4 inch and the overall length is 20.7 inches long. When fully compressed, they are 15 inches long. Chrome spring are over a black shock body and are supplied with spanner wrench adjusting tool. Reference: Part# 00-9571-8.
The lower eyelet has a 12mm inner diameter. The mounting stud on the trailing arm should measure approx. 11.9mm. If the hole is too small to fit on the lower mount, then the old shock sleeve has rusted in place and must be removed. Vice grips and heat from a propane torch will usually do the trick.
