SPECIAL NOTES: These are an economy priced version. Please review all close-up pictures we have provided. There will be some small gaps where the ends of the metal frame join. The metal frame has not been bent 100% correctly and you will notice the left and right sides have a slight bow shape to them. This window will fit into your Bus nicely, but with the window closed, you will notice the gaps are not perfect around the perimeter of the frame in relation to the window opening. This does NOT affect the sealing of the window to the body in any way. Also, the upper Hinge is welded to the outer edge of the window frames, leaving it visible when the window is closed (This is how VW originally made the front safari windows). This is done to provide the maximum amount of strength to support the frame when open while you are driving, and bouncing down the road. This is to be expected, and in no way affect the operation of this item.

We import this kit directly from the manufacture for the best possible pricing. There are two tabs that need to be welded into place and the rest of the kit is easy to install with just a few simple hand tools. This kit fits 1964 to 1979 Standard VW Bus or Van to give you that Safari experience. There are two tabs that will have to be welded in, and the rest of the kit screws into place. It is NOT recommended that the rear window be open unless you have your front Safari windows open at the same time. Keeping the front windows open will prevent exhaust fumes from being sucked into your Bus/Van. These are fully polished stainless-steel frames with all mounting hardware and the seal to finish the job correctly.
