Description
The CSP Products oil pressure piston block-off kit is essential for the rear oil pressure piston (pulley side) whenever the standard oil cooler is removed and substituted with an oil cooler block-off plate. When this occurs, the rear oil pressure piston—originally serving as an oil cooler thermostat—becomes redundant and can be taken out. This kit replaces the screw plug, spring, and pressure piston, effectively sealing the piston bore. It includes an FKM O-ring that ensures a tight seal within the oil channel, preventing any loss of oil pressure through the compensation bore.
The kit comprises a CSP Products screw plug, an O-ring, and an aluminum seal, making it compatible with the rear oil pressure piston gallery (standard 16.0 mm size) on all Type-1 engines equipped with a dual oil pressure relief system, starting from 1970 (12-1600cc / 34-50hp).
