These are brand new 1600cc dual relief engine cases- but instead of being made with an Magnesium alloy- they are made of a much stronger Aluminum alloy. They have had extra material added for reinforcement and strength and are completely machined for stock configuration with 8mm cylinder head stud inserts. These can be easily machined to accept the larger 90.5mm / 92mm & 94mm piston & cylinder kits. These are the ultimate BIG street engine case. This case uses the old style grooved cam plug see VWC-113-101-157-C or C12-4001-70.
If we are out of stock on this case, see part number C13-98-0451-B. This is the very same case made at the same plant with the EMPI logo cast into the case.
Note: A common question we get about all new engine cases is that it looks like there is a missing cylinder stud threaded insert missing on the number 3 cylinder. This thread has been deep inset and requires a longer cylinder stud. All of our dual-port cylinder stud kits come with this correct longer stud. This deep inset thread was done by the factory back in the early 70's to eliminate the problem of the engine case cracking behind the flywheel area.
