Rear Suspension Stop – Fitment Notes
These rear suspension stops are used on late Split Window Bus reduction gearbox transmissions (1964–1967).
The same style of reduction gearbox was also used on certain VW Thing (Type 181) models equipped with reduction boxes.
We sell 2 versions that perform the same function and fit the same applications, but Volkswagen used two different mounting styles during production.
VWC-211-501-505 or VWC-211-501-505-T
Fitment:
• 1964–1967 VW Bus with reduction gearboxes
• VW Thing (Type 181) models equipped with reduction gearboxes (non-IRS)
Important:
These parts do not fit IRS suspension vehicles.
Because two different designs were produced, the correct part must be selected by matching the shape and mounting style to the original part on your vehicle.
