Description
These intake manifold connecting sleeves are used between the intake runners and the plenum / air distributor on 2.1L water-cooled VW Vanagon Wasserboxer fuel-injection engines. The set includes four rubber sleeves used to seal the individual intake runner connections.
Old intake sleeves can harden, crack, loosen, or develop vacuum leaks, causing unmetered air to enter the intake system. Replacing deteriorated sleeves helps restore a properly sealed intake tract and can help correct vacuum-leak-related drivability issues.
Important Fitment Note: These sleeves are for 2.1L Wasserboxer Vanagon engines and are used at the intake runner-to-plenum / air distributor connections. They are not the smaller 36mm sleeves used on other VW applications.
Size Note: Current inventory measures approximately 39-40mm inside diameter. Because rubber parts can vary slightly in relaxed dimensions, confirm the outside diameter of your intake connections before ordering if your application has been modified or is uncertain.
