Description
Replace a worn, intermittent, or failed ignition switch electrical portion with this OE supplier 4-prong replacement switch. This is the electrical switch section only and is used on select late Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Bus, Vanagon, Rabbit, Golf, Jetta, and Cabriolet applications.
The electrical portion of the ignition switch controls power to key-switched circuits and the starter circuit. Common symptoms of a failing ignition switch can include no crank, intermittent starter operation, accessories not powering correctly, or electrical circuits cutting in and out when the key is moved.
Important Fitment Note: This is the 4-prong electrical portion only. It does not include the ignition lock cylinder, key, steering lock housing, or mechanical ignition switch components. Always compare the plug style and terminal layout with your original switch before ordering.
