These stepped rocker studs are commonly used when servicing or rebuilding cylinder heads that use 10mm threads in the head and 8mm threads at the rocker shaft end.
Proper rocker arm stud condition is important for maintaining secure rocker shaft mounting and reliable valve train operation. If your original studs are damaged, stripped, stretched, or corroded, replacement is recommended during cylinder head service or engine assembly.
