Description

Upgrade the front suspension on your 1968-1979 Bay Window Bus with this excellent reproduction 4 inch narrowed adjustable front axle beam. Made in the U.K., this beam is designed for left hand drive or right hand drive Bay Window Bus models and can be used on vans with or without brake servo assistance.

This narrowed beam features CDS seamless tubing, laser-cut end plates, built-in adjusters, new axle bearings, and an OEM-style steering center pin. It is finished in black powder coat for a clean appearance and long-lasting corrosion protection.

Important Installation Note: Because of the adjuster design, this beam cannot be set at full stock height. Vehicles fitted with this beam will sit slightly lower than standard, even at the highest adjustment setting.

If your Bus is being run very low, additional clearance work may be required. This can include shortening the lower arm shock stud, removing material from the lower shock eye, and/or removing the dust shield for clearance. On 1972-on models, drop spindles may also be used to help retain shock travel when lowering the front suspension.
